Administrative Assistant
Part-Time and On-Call (In-Office)
We are a long-time established Real Estate Appraisal company located in Port Moody, serving Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. We are looking to fill a part-time / on call role as Administrative Assistant to the President and Senior Appraiser at Linquist Appraisals. This role is responsible for providing exceptional administrative support, organizational coordination, and personal assistance. This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious team, and we are looking for a reliable professional who is experienced, takes the initiative, can work independently, and is eager to provide exceptional administrative and clerical support.
This is an in-office, part-time/on-call position with no guaranteed number of work hours per week or month. The role is ideal for someone seeking extra income with a flexible schedule.
Your job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Answering phone calls and taking messages
- Typing of appraisal reports, letters, other documents, etc.
- Managing incoming appraisal requests
- Liaising with Appraisal Management companies, lawyers, and other clients
- Maintaining electronic and paper databases
- Electronic filing and data entry
- Running errands (bank, post office, office supplies, etc.)
- Ordering office supplies
- Booking appointments
- Keeping the office organized
You’re the ideal candidate if you have the following qualifications and skills:
- Must have Real Estate knowledge and background
- Strong proficiency in written and spoken English
- Excellent phone etiquette / telephone manners
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge (Outlook/email, Office 360, Adobe, etc.)
- Strong MS Office experience in using Outlook, Word and Excel
- Knowledge of back-end website editing is an asset
- Minimum of 50 words per minute typing skills
- Reception experience including use of office equipment
- Great time management and communication skills
- Works well independently, with minimal supervision
- Works well with tight and mandatory deadlines
- Strong ability to multi-task and change tasks when unexpected priorities arise
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Must have a reliable vehicle and a cell phone
Compensation:
- You will be compensated while training at $19 per hour.
- After training, compensation will increase up to $25 per hour. Exact amount is dependent on experience and will be discussed.
- This is contract work.
